Today, benben is gonna blog about today's service with pst mark conner.. I rarely blog about church stuff and sermons but i just feel that this thing really got me thinking and reflecting so i've decided to blog about it..

Although today service ended an unexpected 6.55pm which we will usually end at 7.30 the earliest and the sermon is short and sweet, this sermon really made me have alot to think about..

Today's sermon is about connecting with God.. How to connect with Him.. so like communicating love, connecting with God also has many ways to do so.. And like different people communicate love differently, people connect with God differently as well.. like in terms of communicating love, we have by physical touch.. people who enjoys giving hugs and giving warmth to others.. we also have the verbal one.. one which expresses his or her love verbally by always telling others how much her or she loves the other party.. another one is by action.. someone people will tend to show their love by the actions they do towards others.. like helping them out or guiding them.. So like having many methods of communicating love, we also have different methods of connecting with God..

There are 5 different styles in which that people connect with God..
1) Contemplative Style
These people will tend to love silence.. they enjoy meditation alot and they way they connect with God is determined by the environment.. These people tend to be very sensitive.. an example will the the apostle John

2) Intellectual Style
These people tend to enjoy mental stimulation.. they love to dig into the bible to find out for more info about the doubs they have.. An example will be Martin Luthur.. The one who founded the protestants.. or what we called at christians here in singapore..

3) Serving Style
These type of people tend to be very busy using their talents and gifts to serve.. they love to serve others and love being on the edge.. Examples are John Wesley and Mother Theresa..

4) Relational Style
They tend to enjoy things and love to do things in groups.. they dont like to pray alone and loves being in communities

5) Charismatic Style
They love to be in the presense of God all the time.. they love worship and prayer alot.. an example will be Benny Hinn..

Which styles are right and wrong?? the answer is All are correct.. We gotta balance out every single style..

So we gotta ask ourselves which one of these styles do i belong to?? ask yourself today

How do we put this into practice??
1) Identify Your Primary Style
(pick the one God has made you to be and not what you will like to be)
2) Arrange Your Life Around That Style

3) Understand & Accept Others Who Are Different Than You

4) Learn Other Ways Of Communications With God
(Never bring your styles to an extreme, trry to balance out everything like how Jesus did)

5) Consider The Implications Of This Model

Hey everyone.. Benben is here to blog again.. hahax.. finally!!!.. hehex..

Actually didnt really want to blog one but an action made by someone really gave me the urge to blog about her..

I have a close friend.. Her name is Tong Xin.. Although we NEVER talk in school, or anywhere else or even saying hi to each other as i'm too shy to do so, I still feel that she's really a true friend to me..

Whenever i'm in need or feeling pain, she is always there for me showing concern towards me.. She gives me a very sisterly love that i've never experienced before in my life.. Whenever i share my problems or stress with her, although it was never related to her, of her concern or even she dont understand the problem, she will still encourage me and says " nevermind, just do your best lor.. dont feel so stress lah".. Those words filled with her sincerity will engulf me with extreme encouragement and with full of eagarness to faced that problem.. Whenever i'm sick, she will ask me what happen to me and even tell me certain methods to get rid of that sickness or pain out or me.. Although her church's denomination does not believe in healing, she still always says that she will pray for me for healing which i can feel that she does.. it also gives me more motivation to get better..

Whenever before i'm having a badminton tournament which she is aware of, she will definitely sms me and ask me to "Jiayou".. Those 2 words from her are really one that gets me all pumped up to play my best..

So what makes me blog about her leh.. the main reason is what i'm going to type now.. If you do not know, i actually have gastric problems every morning which is caused by not eating breakfast.. so i told her about this problem.. and she asked me to make a promise to her that i'll eat breakfast everyday.. if i'm unable to do it so, i'll still bring bread or biscuits to school.. so that was the promise that i made to her.. so as for today, i've overslept and woke up at 6.40am.. and i was in a rush and my home no biscuits mah and no time to buy.. so i smsed her this morning that i'm sorry that i never eat breakfast again and have to break my promise.. So she didnt reply my sms lah.. and guess what happened in sch later in school.. i walked past her and messed her hair.. and guess what happened nxt.. she asked yixi to pass to me biscuits.. the 1st reaction that i have was i was extremely shocked and touched.. I really appreciate what she have done for me that i feel that a one to one, face to face thanking her will show my upmost sincerity..

Tong Xin, if you are reading this, i really want to sincerely thank you for being there for me all these while.. although i only know you for 6 mths, but the impact that you've brought to my life was really huge.. it changed me alot.. not for the worst but for the better.. i found my purpose in my life with God once again through you..

Well.. Flying of to Vietnam in like 3 hrs time and gotta be at the airport in 70 mins time.. hahax.. nth to do really so just blog lor.. hahax..

well.. i'm really looking forward to the trip.. It seems like the devil's abit unhappy with me and Alson going.. hahax.. the more the plane crash, the more i'll want to go.. hahax.. it's like a test of my faith towards God bah.. hahax..

Ystd was parent teacher conference.. hahax.. So tired over it.. Well, set up the hall after school with the Sports Leaders.. I must admit that the Sports Leaders are the best in the school.. not because they have a good president like me ("ahem") but because they love each other, they work hard when it's time to work, they play hard when it's time to play and we go through thick and thin together.. A few good enough reasons.. hahax.. LAME!!!

So went home to bath and refresh myself in a better uniform.. Headed back to school.. Saw wei li at the interchange.. Then we boarded the bus together lah.. hahax.. Reached school liao, starighet away disbatch all the sports leaders out for duty.. They sure are fast when it comes to doing work.. No wonder i call them my "Elite Squard".. LOLX!!! At ard 4.45, gathered all the Sports leaders back and met up with all the councillors at the amphitheatre.. One thing i cannot tahan about the councillors is not that they are lembei.. but they have no initiative at all.. ZERO INITIATIVE i must say.. Ok nvm.. just gotta make good terms with them yeah.. hahax.. Dispatch everyone again.. Den i proceded to do my duty.. CHIEF USHER!!!! LOLX!!!... again... but i really enjoy going the extra mile and serving others tho.. hehex.. =)

Mr Loke was like giving a speech, den everyone was sent to their respective places.. All the sec 4 Normal students at the canteen, sec 5 and sec 4 express students in the hall.. The hall was hectic.. very messy.. Need Mas, Juli and Wei Li to be there even.. so i took the canteen lah.. hahax.. for some funny reason.. hehex.. but nvm go on.. hmm.. so i got everything in order in the canteen and went to talk to my "body guards".. Fairoz, Darrick, Syarizal and Hafiz.. hehex.. funny lor them.. keep on coming up with stupid quizes that are damm hilarious.. Really love them hehex.. =X.. So slacked till i went up to the hall to rest and waited for my turn to get my report book.. i was damm nervous.. i saw her though.. glad to see that she's happy now.. so i went to get my report book.. Mr pradeep only say "Benjamin, get it sign and pass it back to me on the 1st day of school..".. that was all he said.. i was like "HUH!!!!".. i was expecting some nagging but i think he knows that i'm busy bah so he let me off.. hehex..

so i dared not to open my report book.. but in acutal fact, i know my results before hand liao..
English (valid reason.. didnt take because that day got match against sports school)
E-Maths (A2.. from an f9 last yr..)
Chinese (F9.. as expected)
Combined Science (B3.. From an F9 last yr)
Combined Humanities (C6 T.T.. sobx)
Principle of Accounts (F9.. flung the both tests badly)
Food and Nutrition (valid reason.. didnt take test.. was sick that day)

so on the whole, i improved in my maths and science but the rest dropped.. nvm benjamin.. work harder.. Just 8 more months and it will be all over.. hehex...

ok back to the PTC.. so after i got my report book, we cleared all the chairs in the hall.. wah piang eh lor.. every class got 1 teacher all talk finish liao.. den but for M5 havng 3 teachers to see their parents all had more than 10 students left.. den i was like "faint".. So we all sat down waiting for M5.. den at that time, the sports leaders knowing about me and "ahem" right.. they ask me go and talk to that person lah.. bcoz of somethings that happen that we dont talk to each other liao.. some misunderstanding lah.. hehex.. but i still didnt.. didnt have the guts to i must say..

Conducted the debrief for the sports leaders while waiting for M5 only.. hehex.. had a very fun debrief.. den suddenly halfway, Mr Tham out vice principal came and talk to us and thank us for our help.. but one thing i dont really like was he called us student councillors.. i was like " wah piang eh lor.. dont compare us with them..".. So the sports leaders also abit unhappy over it.. but i encouraged them..

So everything was done and finally can makan liao.. Went to Mac with Jerome, Hafiz, Joy and Warda.. hahax.. The rest all went to the food court.. After that take neo print liao den go home lor.. hahax..

Well.. here to blog.. finally..

well.. this time a very short one.. i've decided to change my blog's song to this song.. called CAI HONG TIAN TANG (Heaven's Rainbow) by this singer Liu Geng Hong..

Ermx.. this song i first heard it during last week's service when he came to our service with his friends from the entertainment industry of taiwan and even his girlfriend miss taiwan for 1999.. lolx..

a very nice and meaningful song i gotta admit.. will blog again soon when i have the mood and time..
